Until 2008, Rachel was the Academic Director of Distance learning programs at The Jewish Agency for Israel, Department of Education. She is a graduate of Haifa University with a Ph.D. in Jewish education and has a vast experience in Jewish education both in Israel and worldwide. As one of the founders and directors of a special program for soldiers from disadvantaged backgrounds, she was responsible for creating the educational framework and training teachers for the implementation of the program. Rachel teaches at Israel’s well-known learning centers such as Pardes and the Shalom Hartman Institutes as well as in numerous Jewish communities worldwide.
